Chris stared at the ceiling , his mom had called ten times that morning alone. Slowly, he peeled the covers off and placed his feet on the icy floor. Just the thought of having to get ready to go outside was motivation for him to lay back down in his inviting bed. Might as well listen to the messages before getting in the shower. “You have 10 miss calls, message one CHRIS YOUR SO LAZY, EVEN YOU SISTER ISN‘T AS BIG AS A DISSAPOINTMENT AS YOU ARE.” was all that was heard followed by the slam of the machine on the wooden table. This was something that wasn’t needed today.
As he walked toward the restaurant his heart skipped a beat. His dad was there today. It was already enough to have to work for his father in this lousy restaurant, but did he have to come today. Chris tried to avoid his going straight into the locker room. “Chris I see your late once again, you think any other boss would put up with this.” Chris ignored him, not noticing as his hands curled into a fist. “So you think you can ignore me, when I am the one providing for a grown man.”. Chris couldn’t take it anymore, he slammed his locker and walked out.
“I quit.” was all he shouted as he stepped back onto the icy pavement. He continued to walk noticing as the sun shined making the ice look glorious, all he felt was mockery. Until he came to a red sign the stated “Help Wanted.”. Maybe this was going to be a good day after all.
Good! I was definitely getting involved in Chris's world.
ReplyDeleteLook back at your "your" versus "you're" Anytime you need to write "you are", then use "you're".
